For Round 3 of this pattern, the pattern is [sc, inc] repeated a total of 6 times, resulting in a stitch count of 18. You started with 12 stitches in Round 2. Here's how you'll complete Round 3:
Stitch 1 - one single crochet (sc)
Stitch 2 - one increase stitch (inc)
Stitch 3 - one single crochet (sc)
Stitch 4 - one increase stitch (inc)
Stitch 5 - one single crochet (sc)
Stitch 6 - one increase stitch (inc)
Stitch 7 - one single crochet (sc)
Stitch 8 - one increase stitch (inc)
Stitch 9 - one single crochet (sc)
Stitch 10 - one increase stitch (inc)
Stitch 11 - one single crochet (sc)
Stitch 12 - one increase stitch (inc)
By the end of Round 3, you should have 18 stitches.
